FAQ

Frequently asked questions about PEIMI handmade epoxy resin and wood boards: shipping, care, customization, and pricing.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We ship worldwide via trusted couriers. Shipping rates and delivery times depend on your country. Send us your location on WhatsApp for a quote.

Are PEIMI boards food-safe?

Yes. We use food-safe epoxy resin and food-grade wood finishes. Boards are suitable for serving bread, cheese, charcuterie, fruit, and more. For raw meat, we recommend using a separate cutting board.

Can I customize the size, color, or wood?

Absolutely. We regularly make custom sizes, resin colors, and wood combinations for homes, restaurants, hotels, and corporate gifts. Share your idea on WhatsApp and we will send options and a quote.

Why are there no prices on the website?

Because every board is handmade and many orders are custom, we quote individually based on size, design, and destination. This also lets us offer wholesale and bulk pricing. Message us for a price list.

How do I care for my board?

Hand wash, dry immediately, and oil the wood every few weeks with food-safe mineral oil. Avoid dishwashers, prolonged soaking, and direct heat. See our full Care Guide for details.

Can I cut directly on the resin part?

We recommend slicing on the wood section. The resin is a glossy accent, and like glass it can pick up knife marks if cut directly. Use the wooden area for prep and let the resin river stay a smooth serving surface — that keeps both looking new for years.

Is the board dishwasher safe?

No — please hand wash only. Dishwashers use high heat and long soaking that can warp the wood, weaken the bond with the resin, and dull the glossy finish. A quick wash with mild soap, warm water, and a soft sponge, then immediate drying, is all it needs.

Will my board crack, split, or warp?

A well-made board should not. Every PEIMI board is built from stabilized hardwood with fully cured, food-safe epoxy, and is left to cure for several days before it ships. To keep it that way, avoid soaking, dishwashers, and direct heat, and oil the wood every few weeks. If anything arrives flawed, we replace it.

Does the resin turn yellow in sunlight?

We use UV-stable, non-yellowing epoxy, so normal indoor display keeps the colors vivid for years. Like any resin art, many hours of direct sun can slowly warm the tones — we suggest displaying away from harsh direct light and never leaving it outdoors.

Will the board smell of chemicals when it arrives?

No. Our resin is fully cured and low-odor before it leaves the studio, so there should be no chemical smell on arrival. If you ever notice a faint new-product scent, a few hours of fresh air clears it — it is not a safety concern.

Why might my board look slightly different from the photo?

Because each board is hand-poured, no two are identical — that is the charm. Wood grain, resin flow, and tiny air bubbles vary naturally, so your piece will be uniquely yours. Colors are matched closely to the listing, though screen and lighting can shift how they read.

What if my board arrives damaged in transit?

We pack every board as a fragile item with reinforced cushioning and a Fragile label. If it arrives damaged, take photos of the outer box and the board, then message us on WhatsApp within 48 hours — we will arrange a replacement or refund right away.

How long until I receive my order?

Each board is made to order in 3 to 5 days, then shipped worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7 to 15 business days depending on your country and customs. For an exact timeline and a shipping quote, send us your location on WhatsApp.

Can I put hot dishes or a hot pan on the board?

We suggest using it for room-temperature and cold foods — cheese, bread, fruit, charcuterie. Resin can soften under high heat, so please do not place hot pans or straight-from-oven dishes on it; use a trivet for those instead.
