Cleaning
Hand wash only with warm water and mild dish soap. Wipe with a soft sponge or cloth. Do not soak, submerge, or put your board in the dishwasher — prolonged water exposure can warp the wood and damage the resin bond.
Dry immediately with a towel and stand the board on its edge to allow air circulation on both sides.
Oiling & Refreshing
To keep the wood hydrated and the colors rich, apply a food-safe mineral oil or beeswax finish every 2–4 weeks, or whenever the wood looks dry. Spread a thin layer, let it sit overnight, and buff off the excess with a clean cloth.
Avoid cooking oils like olive or vegetable oil, which can turn rancid over time.
What to Avoid
Keep the board away from direct heat sources, prolonged sunlight, and open flames. Do not use it as a hot pan rest or cut directly on the resin rivers with heavy cleavers. Use sharp knives gently on the wood surface for best longevity.
Minor scratches can be refreshed with fine sandpaper (400–600 grit) followed by food-safe oil. For deeper damage, send us a photo and we can advise on repair.
